”Mine” is the first production of Steel, theatre and performance ensemble formed in Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium. The ensemble consists of Niels Kristian Brinth (DK), Vilja Itkonen (FIN) and Marije Nie (NL) who have worked together in Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium in Holstebro from autumn 2016. The process started when Marije was teaching Brinth to tap dance with his wheelchair. This dance developed into a short demo work directed by Vilja. Now Steel is proud to present their first full performance called "Mine".
”Mine” is a story of two workers in a cave. One is a dreamer and the other is a builder. Clay covers the walls and the roof is of stone. Morning comes as shady as the night falls. If they can´t get out and see the sky, they can still dream about it. Sometimes, in the dark tunnels, they find forgotten memories of life, love and dance.
The actors and director of 'Mine' have created a common language for the metals of tap shoes and wheelchairs, bringing together two different ways of expression in movement, rhythm and storytelling,
The performance is recommended for audience older than 12 years.
